Context
I worked on Treat, a CAD application used in orthodontic treatment planning.
Geometry and imaging
I developed algorithms to align CBCT voxel models with polygonal tooth models. I also implemented non-ML geometric logic for tooth segmentation, separation of touching teeth, and checks for root collisions and fenestration during planned tooth movement.
Release engineering
Alongside algorithm development, I worked on CI/CD, patient-data handling in DICOM files, test campaigns, and release-risk reviews in a regulated medical-software workflow.
Collaboration
I coordinated changes with neighbouring teams and explained technical decisions to doctors and technicians. Working in a multicultural team taught me to adapt the explanation to the audience without losing technical precision.
