Context
Moving away from a stretched Kubernetes environment required a way to coordinate scheduled workloads across clusters.
My role
I designed and implemented a cross-cluster CronJob controller in Go using controller-runtime.
Investigation and design
I researched the workload and developed the controller’s architecture, including reconciliation and scheduling behaviour. I tested the proposed behaviour through simulations on a local cluster.
Working with stakeholders
The work included presenting the approach to management and explaining how it could support the wider environment-separation effort.
Scope
This case study describes the controller work rather than claiming ownership of the wider infrastructure migration. Internal topology, workload counts, and current deployment status are omitted.
